Microseismic Industry Consortium
The Microseismic Industry Consortium is a geophysical research initiative focused on technological innovations in microseismic methods and their practical applications for resource development. Working in concert with industry partners and government agencies, the Consortium is a team of faculty, students and researchers hosted by the University of Calgary and the University of Alberta.
mu-SIC Mentorship Program
The mu-SIC Mentorship Program gives graduate students, who are currently working closely with the mu-SIC consortium, the chance to interact in a meaningful way with industry sponsors of the consortium.

Microseismic Industry Consortium (mu-SIC) founded
On Jan 1, 2010, the microseismic Industry Consortium was founded with many thanks to our sponsors and partners.
Microseismic Techniques
Microseismic techniques are emerging as an important approach for in situ monitoring of fracture processes. They have diverse applications, including hydraulic fracture well treatments, life of field studies, mining, geothermal and carbon capture and storage.
May 2011 CSEG Recovery
The Microseismic Industry Consortium will be co-chairing a sessionof this year’s Microseismic Processing section of the CSEG 2011 Recovery conventionheld at the TELUS Convention Centre from May 9 – 13.
