Microseismic Industry Consortium (mu-SIC) founded

On Jan 1, 2010, the microseismic Industry Consortium was founded with many thanks to our sponsors and partners. 

Microseismic techniques are emerging as an important approach for in situ monitoring of fracture processes. They have diverse applications, including hydraulic fracture well treatments, life of field studies, mining, geothermal and carbon capture and storage.

Who We Are

Working in concert with industry partners and government agencies, mu-SIC is a team of faculty, students and researchers hosted by the University of Calgary and the University of Alberta.
